"We stayed at this property about 5 years ago and we had a great stay however this time the experience was terrible. The hotel has gone down hill and seemed old, tired and worn. We had to change rooms because it looked as though someone kicked in the bathroom door breaking the door and lock. The next room wasn’t much better. "Vacation Village of the Berkshires is a beautiful location. However the rooms are outdated and I know doing a massive renovation on a property with 13 buildings including the office building. It’s not something that can be done easily and inexpensively however we did have loose cabinets ripped rugs we had windows that did not close properly as well as refrigerator that did not have bottom shelves and on top of that you have to take out your own garbage and recycling or be charged and you can...

"The room, and everything in it, was clean, functional and well maintained. The two nights stay was very good. The building, and specifically the door and its handle-lock system can use some facelift. Still, this did not affect our satisfaction from the stay. However, we did not get the courtesy expected during check-in at a lodging place. The person at the counter didn't seem to care much if we are there or not. We were left with some bitter taste."

"The main drawback here is cleanliness. Carpets were heavily stained, top cover was mildly stained but the quilt and sheets were clean. Room has a smokey smell. Bathroom was clean. The shower head was excellent and flow was great. I think if they did a deep clean and re-paint of the rooms they could really improve the property. At the price point I think it's a decent value, as the other hotels in town are 2-3x the price."

"There is no front desk at this "hotel" and there are no staff on site. I sent many messages but NEVER received any reply. I never received any check in instructions. When we arrived at the hotel there is no one there. We had to call a number posted on the door and they said someone would be there in 5 mins, but we waited another 20 mins. The apartment smelled bad and is pretty crappy. We paid $180 for 1 night and this is a complete rip-off!"
